Asaduddin Owaisi, an AIMIM member, mocked Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement in the Lok Sabha on Thursday while participating in the no-confidence motion.
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, said “Our Home Minister was talking about ‘Quit India’ yesterday. I wonder if he gets to know that the word ‘Quit India’ was coined by a Muslim, he will not use this word. I want to say that the kind of politics you (Central govt) are doing will harm the country. I want to ask the PM if Hindutva is more important than the country.”
Regarding the BJP’s recent use of the “Quit India” slogan, Owaisi stated that if the saffron party learned that a Muslim had invented the phrase, they would cease using it.
When people learn that the phrase “Quit India” was created by a Muslim, they will cease using it, according to our home minister. The catchphrase was created by Yusuf Meher Ali and popularised by Mahatma Gandhi.
“If you genuinely want to say ‘Quit India,’ then say ‘China, Quit India’…the appeasement policies that you practise should ‘Quit India’. You are putting our nation in risk. I want to make a plea to the government, saying that the politics you are pursuing will only be detrimental to the nation.
Owaisi referred to the Uniform Civil Code as a dictatorial legal framework.
“The UCC formula is one nation, one language, one culture, and one religion. This is how tyrants operate. India is a kaleidoscope of many languages and civilizations, like a bouquet, he declared.
Additionally, he questioned why the self-described “vishwaguru” government had not succeeded in bringing Khulbushan Yadav or the eight navy officers who had been detained in Qatar for a year.
As part of his demands, the government was required to affirm to the Supreme Court that it abides by the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act of 1991.
In addition, Owaisi discussed the lynching of Muslim males, claiming that the prime minister should “love the backwards among us” despite this.
Owaisi also discussed the killing of Muslim males, claiming that even though the prime minister preaches about embracing the backward Muslims, it is actually these men who are being killed.
Amit Shah claimed on Wednesday that after listening to the statements of opposition figures, he had come to the conclusion that the purpose of this vote of no confidence was to cause uncertainty.
The prime minister announced the phrase “Corruption Quit India, Dynasty Quit India, and Appeasement Quit India” in honour of the anniversary of the Quit India movement.
Since 2014, “Modi has ushered in a new era of politics, that of development, which will lead to the creation of India of the dreams of our freedom fighters much before 2047,” the home minister claimed.
