On Thursday, German Air Force Chief Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz met with Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar to consider new opportunities for collaboration to strengthen defence relations.
Both of them reaffirmed their commitment to the Indo Pacific area, the Indian Navy wrote on the social networking platform X, which was formerly known as Twitter.
“Lt Gen Ingo Gerhartz, Chief of the German Air Force, and Adm. R. Hari Kumar, #CNS, met in South Block, #NewDelhi. The Principals addressed new avenues of cooperation to strengthen defence cooperation and operations engagements, and they reiterated their commitment to the Indo-Pacific area, according to a tweet from the Indian Navy’s spokesperson at IHQ MoD(Navy).
On Wednesday, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari of the Indian Air Force and Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz of the German Air Force met in Delhi to discuss ways to further deepen their cooperation.

Moreover, throughout the meeting, they also addressed topics of shared interest. The Indian Air Force tweeted, “Lieutenant General Ingo Gerhartz, Chief of the German Air Force called on the CAS Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari in New Delhi today.”
The tweet further stated that during the meeting, “issues of mutual interest & means to further enhance cooperation between the two Air Forces were discussed.”
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Germany is India’s largest trading partner in Europe, fifth-largest trading partner globally, eighth-largest source of FDI, and second-most significant partner in terms of technological cooperation.
Numerous Indian associations and organizations are working on the business and cultural fronts, strengthening relations between India and Germany on a personal level.
