On Wednesday, a businessman’s body was discovered in the Hassan industrial district. Owner of a granite company Krishne Gowda, 55, was assassinated in broad daylight by unidentified assailants. His wife and two kids have survived him.
The attackers attacked him as he was getting out of his car to go inside his business before they drove away. The event took place about 1:30 pm.
A citizen of Shankaripura in Hassan City named Krishna Gowda had previously declared allegiance to the Janata Dal (Secular) party and had previously run for the Hassan City Municipal Council.
The incident occurred within the boundaries of the Hassan Rural police station. Senior officers including Hassan SP Hariram Shankar paid the location a visit. The investigation is ongoing.
