As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day with fervour and nationalist sentiment resounding on the streets, the tricolor flag is being hoisted by more than just Indians. The Burj Khalifa in Dubai lit up to honor India on this historic day.
On notable days, the skyscraper, which is recognized for being the world’s tallest building, often lights up in brilliant colors. Whether it’s Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday or a major world event, the Burj Khalifa is the first to wish them well. So, on India’s special day, it was expected that the Dubai skyscraper would strike hearts with a beautiful display of the Indian flag.
To the satisfaction of Indian nationals, the Burj Khalifa was illuminated up in vibrant saffron, white, and green colors. Mufaddal Vohra, a Twitter user, shared the moment on X. The Burj Khalifa is seen flashing the Indian flag on its sky-touching length of glass panels in the video, which has nearly 500K views. Along with the Indian flag flying above the Burj, the video features an instrumental rendition of India’s National Anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana.’
